Tackling basic needs crises in emergency situations
Every year millions of people and companion animals around the world experience hunger, water contamination, and displacement due to natural disasters, man-made disasters, and climate change. When victims are in quest of survival while going through flooding, war, or terrorist attack; basic needs of life accessibility get jeopardized. People are forced to separate from their pets.
Our short-term relief aid helps mitigate or reduce the effects of food, water, and shelter crises on people and companion animals.
We aim to be able to help as many people and companion animals survive, but we prioritize our aid on some criteria. First is location accessibility of the affected place and this is accessed from end-to-end of predetermined layers as the case may be. For location accessibility the layers are country/territory; province/state; town/city; and village/remote. The second criteria is human or animal vulnerability, for humans we prioritize nursing mothers, children, seniors, and persons with disabilities. For companion animals, we prioritize females with young and ones with physical disabilities.
