The digital divide in remote Ghana, Nigeria, Bangladesh, India, and Ecuador

N.A.L.T Canada has identified some remote or rural regions in Ghana, Nigeria, Bangladesh, India, and Ecuador lacking the infrastructure needed to access the internet.

In Africa, the number of people that own a computer is 9.2 per 1,000 people. With limited access to PCs and telephone lines, Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East only possess  4% of all internet users. Only 4.8% of all internet users are based in Latin America.

An estimate of 10 regions are expected to benefit from internet access infrastructure.
