A 10-year target

Bridging the gap of unequal service delivery requires a comprehensive and strategic approach that addresses the underlying causes of the disparities. Here is the National Association of Liberated Tigers Canada’s  strategic framework to help achieve this goal for 2 million people in yearly over a span of 10 years: Assessment and Data Collection:
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the current service delivery systems and identify the areas with the most significant gaps in access and quality.
  • Gather relevant data on demographics, socioeconomic indicators, and service utilization patterns to understand the root causes of inequality
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Involve all relevant stakeholders, including Canadian and other countries’ government agencies, local and international organizations, community representatives, and service providers, in the planning and implementation process.
  • Facilitate dialogue and collaboration to ensure diverse perspectives are considered.
Clear Objectives and Targets:
  • Set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) objectives for reducing the disparities in service delivery.
  • Define targets that are based on the needs and priorities of the disadvantaged communities.
Policy and Regulatory Reforms:
  • Identify and address any policy or regulatory barriers that contribute to unequal service delivery.
  • Advocate for policy changes that promote inclusivity, equity, and equal access to services.
Resource Allocation:
  • Allocate resources based on the needs of disadvantaged communities to ensure they receive adequate services.
  • Consider redistributive measures to allocate resources more equitably.
Capacity Building:
  • Provide training and capacity-building programs for service providers in underserved areas to enhance the quality of service delivery.
  • Foster skills development and cultural competence to better understand and cater to the needs of diverse populations.
Community Empowerment:
  • Engage local communities in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services to ensure they are responsive to their needs.
  • Empower community members to actively participate in decision-making processes.
Innovative Service Delivery Models:
  • Explore innovative approaches such as mobile service units, telehealth, or online platforms to reach underserved populations in remote or marginalized areas.
  • Utilize technology to improve efficiency and accessibility of services.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track progress towards reducing the service delivery gap.
  • Regularly review performance and adjust strategies accordingly to ensure effectiveness.
Advocacy and Awareness:
  • Raise public awareness about the importance of equal service delivery and the consequences of inequality.
  • Engage in advocacy efforts to garner support from decision-makers and the wider public.
Sustainability and Long-term Commitment:
  • Recognize that bridging the gap requires sustained efforts over the long term.
  • Ensure that commitments to reducing inequality are incorporated into long-term plans and budgets.
By following this strategic framework, N.A.L.T Canada can work together with Canadian Governments and their counterparts, individuals, and local and international organizations to create more equitable and inclusive service delivery systems, reducing the gap drastically and improving the well-being of people and companion animals.
